Note Bridge alpha tester guide

Thanks for testing Note Bridge. This alpha focuses on fast offline notes with optional account sync.

Before you start

• Use a test account and do not store critical information yet.
• Keep the app updated from the assigned Google Play testing track.
• Do not share passwords, reset links, access tokens, or private note content in reports.

Core test

1. Create a note with a title and content, then edit and save it.
2. Create a note while offline and confirm it remains available after reopening the app.
3. Delete a note, then use Undo in the confirmation bar.
4. Use Search notes to find text in both titles and note content.
5. Open the account menu and use Export notes to share or save a text copy.

Account and sync test

1. Create an account from the account menu and confirm the email.
2. Sign in and verify that local notes sync successfully.
3. Sign in on a second device and create or edit a note there.
4. Turn connectivity off, edit a note, reconnect, and check both devices.
5. Use Forgot password and complete the reset from the email.
6. Use Update password from the signed-in account menu.

Account deletion test

Use a dedicated test account. Verify both choices in the delete-account flow:

• Delete the account and local notes.
• Delete the account while keeping local notes on the device.

Account deletion cannot be undone.

Known alpha limitations

• There is no note sharing or collaborative editing.
• Export currently shares plain text rather than a structured backup file.
• Synced note contents are stored as readable fields in the backend; sync is not end-to-end encrypted.
• Search is local to the notes currently stored on the device.

Report a problem

Email [email protected] with:

• Device model and Android version
• App version
• Exact steps to reproduce the issue
• Whether the device was online or offline
• A screenshot, if it does not reveal private information
